Terms of Service
Last updated October 2026
1. Penny
Penny is a personal budgeting assistant. You record your income, spending, accounts and goals, and Penny helps you track them through chat and simple screens.
Penny is not a bank, does not hold or move your money, and does not connect to your bank accounts. Balances in Penny are the numbers you enter.
2. Not financial advice
Tips, estimates and answers from Penny (including AI-generated replies) are for general information only. They are not financial, tax, legal or investment advice. Check important decisions with a qualified professional.
Exchange rates shown by Penny are estimates from third-party sources and may differ from the rate your bank or wallet used.
3. Your account
You must give a valid email address and keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be old enough to agree to these terms in your country.
We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, break the law or try to harm other users or our systems.
4. Free trial and subscription
New accounts get a one-time 14-day free trial of everything in Penny, with no payment details required. Penny has no free plan: to keep using it after the trial, subscribe monthly or yearly in the Penny app.
If your trial ends or your subscription lapses, your account is locked until you subscribe. Your data is kept, and you can still sign in to subscribe, change your settings, contact support or delete your account.
Subscriptions are sold only in the Penny app, billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed in your store account; they renew automatically until you cancel there. A subscription also unlocks your account on the web. Prices are shown before you buy. Refunds follow the rules of the App Store or Google Play.
5. Your content
You own the data you put into Penny. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Do not upload content you don't have the right to share, or anything illegal.
6. Availability and liability
We work to keep Penny available and accurate but provide it “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for decisions made based on information in the app.
7. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; if a change is significant we will tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Penny after that means you accept the new terms.
Penny is run by Malih Dabboussi, an individual based in Tunisia. Questions: support@askpenny.co.
